| | 1. Time in Classrooms: The team members will go into the classrooms in pairs to visit the following class rooms: - 1st & 2nd - 3rd & 4th - 5th & 6th 2. Games: We have designed games and Q&A time for each grade group to make it relevant for them. Prizes for the classroom will be rewarded! 3. Activities: - 1st & 2nd Grade: Coloring pages of each of the characters that they can choose from to color during our time with them. - 3rd & 4th Grade: They too will receive the coloring pages, but they will have to write a couple of sentences about the character they choose. - 5th & 6th Grade: We have designed a nation wide essay competition. Each of the 5th & 6th Graders will be asked to write an essay (just like the main character in the assembly had to do) about what it is they want to be when they grow up and how having good character will help them achieve this goal. The essay only needs to be about 4 to 5 paragraphs. They will give these to the team by the end of the day and they will be submitted to our judges. Each month, the top boy and top girl will be selected and we will post their picture on the website. They will then be entered into the finals which will be selected and posted on the website on May 19th.
These are the prizes… Top Boy & Girl Of The Month- 1. Certificate 2. Start Dreamin’ DVD 3. Full set of the Start Dreamin’ Posters 4. | | 1. Schedule: Because the 5th & 6th graders need time to write their essays, it is best that they see the assembly at the first scheduled time. The team would need a detailed schedule as to what class rooms they are visiting and at what times including the times for recess. In order to make our time with the students in their class rooms meaningful, it is best that we have at LEAST 30 minutes with them. 2. Materials: The team would need to make Xerox copies of the coloring pages when they arrive for the 1st-4th grade classes. The chalkboard or white board will be needed in order to play some of our games in each of the classrooms. We ask that you inform your teachers of this so they are prepared.
3. Recess Time: If time does not conflict with our class room schedule, we will be out with the kids at recess to continue our one on one time with the students.
